What does microneedling treat?
Microneedling delivers so many benefits, it can treat:
- Scars (including acne scars)
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Enlarged pores
- Stretch marks
- Pigmentation
- Uneven skin texture

Microneedling may also be termed 'collagen banking', as the treatment helps to increase collagen levels in the skin, the important protein in the skin which is responsible for providing its structural support. From our mid 20's we typically loose 1% of collagen per year, and by our 40's and 50's this process further accelerates, and thus the loss of collagen becomes more visible, contributing to sagging skin, dullness and fine lines and wrinkles.

'Think of collagen banking like a savings account for your skin. The more collagen you deposit early on, the richer your skin will be in the future.'

The science behind microneedling:
The SkinPen device contains multiple fine needles which puncture this skins surface to create controlled microchannels. This triggers the bodies natural healing response which leads to the production of new collagen and elastin. The end result is plumper, firmer, smoother and more radiant skin.
Rest assured, SkinPen is very well tolerated. The needles are super fine and prescription strength numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. Many patents find the treatment rather therapeutic and relaxing.

You can enhance the regenerative results from your SkinPen treatment results by adding on ‘Exosomes’, which also help to minimise downtime.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically, 3-6 SkinPen treatments, spaced four weeks apart, are recommended for optimal results, dependant upon your specific skin concern. While microneedling can provide significant and lasting improvements to the skin, maintenance sessions will then be required to preserve the results over time for long lasting benefits.
